Assistant Number
What the assistant number is, where you can share it, and what happens to the number when your subscription ends.
It is the phone number Call.io assigns to your business. Calls to this number are answered directly by your assistant. You can share it as your business number on your website, in your listings and on your business card.
In two ways. With conditional forwarding, calls go to the assistant only when you are busy, do not answer or are unreachable. With unconditional forwarding, all calls are answered directly by the assistant.
No. Calls to your assistant number are handled solely by the assistant. Your main phone line will not ring.
Local number options are not yet available in some regions. In these cases a +44-based number is assigned so you can use Call.io without interruption. Once a local number becomes available in your region, you can move your assistant to the new line.
Your assistant number is tied to your Premium subscription and you can use it as long as your subscription is active. When you cancel your subscription, the number is held for you for 30 days and then released.
You can use it like your business number: on your website, your social media accounts, your business card and your listings. This is the number your customers reach you on.
No. You can share your assistant number directly, or merge your existing business line with it. Both are up to you; neither requires the other.
No. Your number is held for you for 30 days. If you resubscribe within that time you get the same number back; after 30 days the number is released and a new one is assigned on your next subscription.
